State Testing FAQ
#1 When does state testing occur?
• April 22-25 from 8:30am – 11am
#2 Which students take state testing?
• All students in grades 3-8 and 11
#3 What assessments do students take?
• Students take 2 assessments in both ELA and Math. Students in grades 5,8 and 11 also take a science assessment.
#4 How can I best support my student for state testing?
• PLEASE make sure school issued computers (iPad or laptop) are fully charged. Plug them in every night so they are ready to the next day.
• Please encourage your students to put forth their best effort on these assessments.
• Help your student to keep a regular schedule during testing which includes getting enough rest.
• Encourage your student to eat a healthy breakfast each morning. They have access to a variety of delicious breakfast options at school.
• Most importantly, please make sure your student(s) are here on time every single day. Attendance is very IMPORTANT!!!
#5 When will the results of state testing be made available?
• Beginning in August, families can access their student state testing results in PowerSchool
